I'm back in France after 15 days travelling in the Balkans...8 countries, 15 border crossing, a lot of new friendships, wonderful landscape, nice flights... I come back in France with a real idea of what is the war and the damages it causes, forgotten all the false ideas of west european point of view, i meet only simplicity, warm welcoming and kindnes. At the beginning i was afraid to speak of war with the people, but after a few days i realized that it's not at all a tabou, they havea real desire to share this experience to ensure that something like that will never happen again. And it helps us to put into perspective the small problems of our lives. Thanks to all the bosnian pilots who made us discover their country, their culture and their way of life, especially to Sanel.
So we spent the first week in Travnik , Bosnia, for the festival Paraweek organized by bosnian pilots. More info at : http://paratravnik.weebly.com Map of mines in Travnik...
Then we went to Ohrid in Macedonia, where we were welcomed by a local hangliding pilot, Nikola, who guided us to the good places to fly. It's Mendo home for those who know him...
We also flew in a spot known for cross country in Macedonia, Krusevo.
And a small magic secret place for soaring and playing near the ground ;-)
