The first stage of the Paragliding Aerobatics World Cup (APWC) series, Paranoia Acrobatixxx was held in Austria, at the lovely lake of Zell am See. The location is quite special because the altitude that the pilots get over the lake is pretty low so they only have to perform 3 maneuvers (instead of 4 or 5 as usually). This makes the whole contest a lot more of a strong tactical race. Some of the rules have changed for this year for example the landing is not taking 10% of the total scoring anymore but 20% (beside 60% technical and 20% choreography). Spectators should be quite happy about it, because like that all pilots are trying to land the most spectacular way, coming in with a fast spiral all the way till the water, try to touch the wingtip in the water and then go for a dry landing on the tiny floating platform with a size of just around 20 m2! After 4 completed tasks Pál won the competition in a really tight race with Horacio and Cyril, ALL 3 SUPAIR TEAM PILOTS, yeeehaw!

Yesterday Pal & me we performed the first ever Infinity Tumbling with a tandem Paraglider! We took off from Chäserugg and flew over the the beautiful Walensee to try to swing above our wing together for the first time.
AND WE DID IT!
With the tandem the g-force on the pilots is even higher that during a solo infinity. We got 7G kicks as the glider shot beneath us 45 times. For our safety we had to develop a unique rescue and steering system. Fortunately we were able to use the best material for the project. We got a specially reinforced glider because during the test flights in Turkey we managed to break all the A, B and C lines in one single second.
